I'm so damn excited about my new fridge - I am getting old. They also moved the old fridge and I tipped accordingly. It was a 3rd party delivery and they called 30 minutes prior to arrival. I was thinking $60-100.Įdit - It arrived this afternoon. I have cash on hand and plan to ask the delivery person(s) if they'll relocate it to the basement if they have time (can just wheel out the front door, down a slight hill and through a direct door to the basement, to a spot that has been cleared out for this).ĭoes that seem reasonable? What is a good tip? I don't know if it'll be one or two delivery people - I have $20s and will put them in envelopes bc germs. Our other fridge (the small Haier) we have to keep because it belongs to the landlord - so I did not select the "haul away" option. Will they call me when they're on the way? Trying to eliminate any obstacles / problems for delivery. We won't be needing a hookup to a waterline for the ice-maker. I also followed directions to make sure the path through the door and into the kitchen area is clear. *As I was typing this - the website updated my delivery window (06/19, 11:30AM-3:30PM)!* Some time travel was involved, or maybe this just means it's no longer at the CT store and has arrived locally? So it's supposed to arrive today but I'm wondering about a few things. Last night it showed up as 06/18 from 12PM to 12AM (?). When I placed the order on for the new LG fridge, the delivery window was originally 06/19 from 8AM-8PM. And the stuff we buy, we want to stay fresh and not freeze all our veggies! Also we can only fit like three ice cube trays, max, in the freezer and somehow those don't freeze as fast as our produce in the fridge (and yes I've adjusted the dumb dial enough times to realize it doesn't work). There is still a pandemic going on, and we don't want to shop multiple times per week. Nothing fancy but definitely better and I think it'll meet our needs. We are renting a waterfront house with three adult humans total and we will probably be here until early 2021 - so I decided to just buy a better fridge that we can take with us when we move (an LG, 25.5 cu ft, bottom freezer in stainless steel). It's a cheap small Haier fridge that belongs in on a boat or RV. I've thrown out hundreds of dollars worth of produce in the past few months and it's awful. We need a new one badly - our current one is too small (9.8 cu ft) and freezes things randomly. I ordered a new refrigerator two weeks ago.
